Join leaders from the AnitaB.org team for an overview of GHC and learn how to make the most of your time.
Career Fair Hall Crawl
New for GHC 19! The Career Fair Hall Crawl offers you the chance to check out the Career Fair before things get into full swing. Mingle while enjoying beverages and snacks, or purchase limited edition GHC 19 swag. Visit the AnitaB.org booth to meet AnitaB.org staff and Local Community members. The Career Fair Hall Crawl takes place on Tuesday, October 1 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Badges are required.

ACM-W, NCWIT, and CRA-W Special Session
AnitaB.org partners with a number of nonprofit partners to bring content for our academic and general attendees. In this special session, attendees will learn from experts in the field on how to implement effective diversity and inclusion strategies.
BRAID Research
The BRAID Research team is implementing an unprecedented longitudinal, multi-institutional research study to better understand the experiences of women and underrepresented undergraduate students in computing. Learn about their latest results during this special session.
Mentoring Circles
Before you meet with organizations in the Expo Hall, be sure to attend this interactive mentoring session, where you’ll receive great tips on job searching, interviews, and furthering your career. Taking place in a large room with about 50 tables, each table is hosted by a mentor focusing on a particular topic. Attendees choose a topic, sit at the corresponding table, and chat with a mentor for 20 minutes. Every 20 minutes, attendees switch tables and chat with another mentor on a different topic.
Speed Mentoring
The Anita|Bees have been buzzing around all year preparing for this year’s Speed Mentoring session! We heard your feedback – this session now features smaller mentoring groups (3 mentees:1 mentor). One-on-one Lightning Mentorship Rounds are available also. The two-hour event features several 15-minute rounds in which attendees are matched by career level and area of interest with industry professionals, academic professionals, and successful graduate students. Mentors give mentees valuable career advice in the specific discipline and level for which they were matched.
Senior Leadership Summit – Professional Development Track
The Senior Leadership Summit (SLS), formally known as Senior Women’s Program (SWP), is an invite-only professional development event that convenes senior level technologists on the cusp of the C-Suite. Attendees will cultivate a global network of peers, gain insight from leading women in tech, and develop strategies for effective leadership and organizational transformation. This year we have two different tracks. (By invitation only.)The Professional Development Track is great for leaders who want to explore their leadership strategy and lead with greater effectiveness by delving into challenges faced at the highest levels of leadership. Attendees will build on core leadership skills and strengths to achieve peak performance.
PitcHER Competition
The AnitaB.org PitcHER™ contest aims to support, encourage, and provide new funding opportunities to women entrepreneurs. The participating finalists come from all industries and are leading early stage technology startups.

Open Source
Special feature: Open Source Day and the Code-a-thon for Humanity. Participants will develop these humanitarian projects using open source software (OSS). OSS is an increasingly important skill to have, as companies often require an understanding of and ability to contribute to it. You will work in groups, gaining the opportunity to learn from one another as well as from the experienced mentors there to guide you. By RSVP only.
