Check out our different committees for GHC 19! We will post more information later.
Scholarship Review Committee
Each year, we offer GHC Scholarships that enable students and faculty to attend the celebration. Each committee member reviews, on average, 15 applications online, and provides ratings and comments to help the committee co-chairs make decisions on applicants. Students are ineligible to be reviewers, but we encourage eligible students to apply for the scholarship..
Poster Session Committee
Submissions for the Poster Session are technical. Your co-chairs will assign you posters that best represent your area of expertise. You will review the poster submissions and rate them based on criteria provided by your co-chairs.
Track committee volunteers directly impact the GHC program. During our formal Call for Participation (CFP) process, track committee volunteers review CFP submissions to decide who will speak at GHC. You will rate each submission based on criteria provided to you by your track’s co-chairs. When selecting which track you would like to review, please select the one that best represents your area of expertise. See a list of our 2018 tracks. We will post our 2019 tracks at a later date.
Open Source Day (OSD) Committee
For seven years, Open Source Day (OSD) has provided women of all skill levels and backgrounds with the opportunity to collaborate and make a change. You will work with tech leaders to develop humanitarian projects for this day long codeathon, that lets participants improve the world we live in with open source software (OSS).
Note: Our Open Source Day (OSD) Committee is separate from our Open Source Track Committee.
Applications for OSD mentors will open at a later date.
This interactive mentoring session lets attendees seek personalized advice regarding their career or academic endeavors, in small groups. The topics of the submissions will be related to career opportunities, job search, tools for success at work, or academic paths. You will review the mentors’ submissions and rate them based on criteria provided by our co-chairs.
