Iconic Gathering of Women in Tech Now Accepting Submissions for Technical and Professional Sessions
PALO ALTO, CA, — January 23, 2015 – The AnitaB.org (ABI), a non-profit organization focused on the advancement of women in computer science and engineering, today announced the Call for Participation for the Grace Hopper Celebration 2015 (GHC), set to take place October 14-16, 2015 in Houston, Texas.
AnitaB.org is looking for technical and professional sessions to fill three main conference tracks:
- Technology – Sessions from experts in cutting edge fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Gaming, Computer Graphics and Animations, Human Computer Interaction, Security and Privacy, Software Engineering, the Internet of Things and Wearables, and Open Source Technology.
- Productization – Sessions on the many crucial functions in the product lifecycle, beyond software development, that are required for successful execution.
- Organizational Change and Inclusion – Sessions on tracking organizational workforce data, cultivating productive and diverse teams, creating a company culture of inclusion, and many more topics.
“In 2014, we witnessed a major turning point in awareness of the diversity in technology issue and we expect to see that continue in 2015,” said Telle Whitney, president and CEO of AnitaB.org. “This important annual Celebration is the destination for women technologists and the organizations who employ them to come together for honest discussion about diversity in the technology workforce. It is the must-attend event for women technologists at various phases of their technology careers to connect with, inspire, and guide one another.”

About The Grace Hopper Celebration
The Grace Hopper Celebration is the largest gathering of women technologists in the world, featuring technical and professional sessions for a varied international audience, from students to CEOs, and professors to government officials.
GHC 2014 attracted the largest group of attendees in the event’s 20-year history. Nearly 8,000 attendees converged on the Phoenix Convention Center, representing 65 countries, from academia, industry, and government. 600 speakers provided over 180 hours of career guidance, research insight, and organizational perspectives. The conference’s career fair hosted booths for over 300 companies and academic institutions, offering women technologists the opportunity to submit their resume’s and schedule interviews before the conference.
