Who should I contact for ADA-related inquiries?

What should I know about venue accessibility?
The Orange County Convention Center has wheelchair ramps, automatic doors, passenger elevators and accessible restrooms for those who need them.
All parking at the Orange County Convention Center is available on a first-come, first-served basis, including disability permit parking. Exact numbers of available spaces vary according to show traffic.
Animals are not permitted on the Orange County Convention Center premises except in conjunction with an approved exhibit or in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Animals that are approved to be on the convention center premises must be on a leash, within a pen, or under similar control. The owner will be fully responsible for his/her animal(s).
Will there be dedicated ADA seating in all rooms?
Yes, ADA seating will be available in all Session Rooms. On-site, an ambassador or temporary staff member will guide you to these spots. If you require assistance with hearing devices, they will also direct you to the technicians.
Are ASL interpreters available?
ASL interpreters will be present for the Opening and Closing Plenary sessions. For in-person attendees, ADA spots will be reserved right in front of the ASL translator. Virtual attendees will see this as a Picture-in-Picture (PIP) feature. If you need an individual ASL translator, please send a request to ghc@anitab.org. We will review and approve your request and coordinate with the service provider. We will contact you with the translator(s) to make the necessary arrangements.
Will there be closed captioning for live-streamed and recorded sessions?
Yes, all live-streamed sessions, as well as recorded and on-demand content, will have closed captioning available. Both human captioning and automated post-captioning will be provided.
How can I rent a wheelchair or scooter via Scootaround?
Scootaround is proud to provide wheelchairs, scooters, powerchairs, rollators, oxygen equipment, and more to enhance your GHC 23 experience. The Scootaround business center is located within the Orange County Convention Center within the West Concourse-Hall C, next to the FedEx office. Regrettably, the Hyatt does not permit the use of Scootaround services.
Your mobility device can be reserved in advance and will be waiting for onsite. Daily and weekly rates are available. Operators are available seven days per week. For more information, call (888) 441-7575, email Scootaround, or visit the website.
Gender-Neutral Bathrooms
At GHC 23, we are dedicated to providing an inclusive and comfortable environment for all attendees. As such, gender-neutral restrooms will be available at both the Hyatt Regency and the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC).
At the Hyatt Regency, gender-neutral restrooms will be conveniently located on the ‘Convention Level’. At the OCCC, you can access gender-neutral restrooms on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors. We are committed to promoting inclusivity and making GHC 23 a welcoming experience for everyone. Join us in creating a safe and supportive space for all attendees.
Will childcare be provided?
We are delighted to offer complimentary Child Care at GHC 23 for children aged 0-13 years old. With daily activities that children will love, you can relax and enjoy the celebration knowing your children are having as much fun as you!
Child Care for GHC 23 is now completely sold out. We operated on a first-come, first-served basis with limited availability, and all spots have been filled. If you had submitted a request, a representative from Corporate Kids Events, the childcare provider for GHC 23, would have reached out to confirm your childcare reservation. We are excited to provide an exceptional childcare experience for your children at GHC 23.
Where can I find lactation rooms?
Lactation rooms will be available at the OCCC and the Hyatt. Please note that these rooms do not have refrigeration facilities, and no items should be left unattended. For more clarification, please reach out to ghc@anitab.org.
Are health care services offered at GHC 23?
Unexpected health concerns can happen at any time, but we’ve got you covered! In partnership with Visit Orlando, the Virtual Care Center provides convenient access to high-quality healthcare right at the Orange County Convention Center.
Located on Level II of the West Concourse near the Visit Orlando Welcome Center, Orlando Health will provide health solutions to GHC 23 attendees as needed. The Orlando Health Virtual Care Center operates from 8 am to 5 pm, offering convenient access to physicians via a virtual check-up in a private room.
If you require medical assistance outside the center’s operating hours, don’t worry! Orlando Health provides on-demand virtual visits, to connect attendees with a board-certified doctor 24/7, no matter where you are.
What are the Quiet Zones?
The Quiet Zones are a serene and meditative area within the bustling GHC (Grace Hopper Celebration). Two Quiet Zones will be available for attendees—one situated in the OCCC (Orange County Convention Center) and the other in the Hyatt. The Quiet Zones will provide a tranquil space with seating and a relaxing environment, ideal for brief meditation or taking a brief break from the crowd. The Quiet Zones are open to all attendees.
