Emerging Technologist
The Emerging Technologist Award honors early- to mid-career professionals who are shaping the future of technology through bold thinking and innovative problem-solving. Within their first decade in the field, nominees demonstrate strong commitment to advancing technology and driving meaningful impact.
Nominees are evaluated on:
High-impact technical contributions
Breakthrough products, services, strategies, or models with transformative impact
Community impact
Advancing representation, access, and opportunity for women in tech
Recognized leadership
Mentorship, speaking, publications, patents, or influence in the field
Award Recognition
Anita Borg Impact Award recipients receive:

Yes. Self-nominations are accepted.

No. You should be able to speak to their impact and contributions.
Can awards be given to groups?
No. Awards are given to individuals.

Yes. Multiple nominations are encouraged.
Can nominees be outside the U.S.?
Yes. Global nominations are welcome.
Do nominations need to be in English?
Yes. All forms must be submitted in English.

Typically 1–2 days depending on detail level.
