Her research agenda involves two strands: examining and amplifying the perspectives and lived experiences of minoritized students in STEM, and exploring the role of STEM educators’ beliefs and practices in promoting race and gender equity. She also supports STEM educators in learning about systemic injustices in K-16 STEM education, and how to best design equitable learning environments using evidence-based, humanizing pedagogies. She was awarded the 2021 K. Patricia Cross Future Leaders Award by the Association of American Colleges & Universities.
