In her more than 25 years with IBM, Marie has held a variety of technical and executive roles in IBM’s hardware, software, and services. She is passionate about innovation from diverse teams and building new businesses.
In January 2015, Marie Wieck was named into her current position as general manager of Middleware, responsible for the digital platform software for today’s emerging enterprise workloads. In this role, Marie leads an organization of more than 10,000 IT professionals responsible for IBM’s leading offerings in application platforms, IT service management, business integration, digital experience and business process optimization.
Marie holds an M.B.A. from New York University, an M.S. in Computer Science from Columbia University and a B.S. in Engineering from The Cooper Union. She is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), co-chair of National Association of Female Executives (NAFE) Roundtable, and the Engineering Advisory Council for The Cooper Union.
Marie is on the board of AnitaB.org and Charity Navigator, as well as co-chair of IBM’s Global Work/Life Council. In June 2015, Marie was named to the WITI Hall of Fame for her passionate support of women in technology.
