Jessica Lin studies computer science at the University of California, San Diego. She co-created an annual day camp called Techie Girls with her best friend, Crystal Hsieh, in the summer of 2013. The Techie Girls camp is designed to inspire middle school girls to consider a career in technology. In the summer of 2014, Jessica interned at Google with the Widevine Content Protection team. For the coming school year, she is excited to organize quarterly competitions as the Programming Competition Chair for Women in Computing at UCSD.
“Every day I am still amazed at the new small ways I can impact the world around me! Through my internship at Google and through Techie Girls, I can do things from finding new ways to protect content online to inspiring young girls to believe they can make a difference too.”
