Executive Director, CMD-IT

A technologist for over 25 years, Rose Robinson is Executive Director for CMD-IT (Center for Minorities and People with Disabilities in Information Technology) leading the organization to ensure African Americans/Blacks, Hispanics/Latinx, Native/Indigenous Americans, and People with Disabilities are fully engaged in computing, and to promote innovation that enriches, enhances, and enables these communities. Before joining CMD-IT, Rose served Senior Director, Women in Tech Evangelist for AnitaB.org, where she helped further the organization’s mission for 50/50 women in tech by 2025 through stimulating storytelling, thoughtful dialogue and advocating for true representation in tech. She is the founder and chair of the Industry Advisory Board at Savannah State University Computer Science department by providing opportunities for Computer Science students and faculty with access to technical conferences, scholarships and open source community. Rose is involved in social impact projects for criminal justice reform, Computer Science education in minority serving institutes and as a #BreastCancerSurvivor is a #Cancer advocate.
