Vice President in the Systematic Market Making (SMM) Core Strats Group, Goldman Sachs

Kelsey Lafer is a Vice President at Goldman Sachs in the Systematic Market Making (SMM) Core Strats group, where she builds core electronic trading software that facilitates the SMM business. Kelsey interned at Goldman Sachs in 2013 and joined full time in 2014 in Equities Engineering. Throughout her career, she has worked as an engineer on a variety of different applications in the electronic trading space across the Global Markets division. Since joining the SMM group in 2018, Kelsey has focused primarily on building latency sensitive workflow and order management systems. This experience has cultivated a passion for building applications on the critical trading path.

While at Goldman Sachs, Kelsey has served in a variety of leadership positions, including as Chair of the New Analyst and Intern Committee, mentor in the Goldman Sachs-hosted Girls Who Code program, and mentor in the Global Markets Summer Internship Council.

Kelsey graduated from Brandeis University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Philosophy.
