Noor Muhyi is a junior at New Mexico State University majoring in biotechnology and genetics, and minoring in computer science. She works for an outreach program called Young Women in Computing as an undergraduate research assistant. Noor is a major advocate for C-STEM and, in her spare time, mentors students interested in pursuing computer science. After earning her degree, Noor plans to attend graduate school. Her interests include teaching, painting, reading, and hiking.
“Some advice that I would give my former self would be to focus 110% on school. Other activities are good, but school comes first. I would also tell myself to not be so shy and timid and to take initiative and meet new people.”
