Oluokun Adedayo is studying computer science at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. Adedayo is currently working on a “Text-to-Speech Synthesis system for Yoruba Language” for her undergraduate research work. She has gained great knowledge and experience during the last two summers interning at African Language Technology Initiative (ALT-I) located in Nigeria. Here, she worked on projects involving natural language processing, speech synthesis and machine learning.
“I have realized that with computer science, I can get more knowledge into the in depth of how things work. I will be able to create solutions to a lot of problems being faced in my country Nigeria.
