Michelle Thompson-Dolberry is Vice President, Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) Strategic Relationships, at American Express. In her role, Michelle is responsible for partnering closely with Colleague Engagement staff and business-unit leaders to support their diverse talent pipelines, operationalizing enterprise I&D investments across the business, and elevating our external presence by leveraging partnerships to amplify our brand to underrepresented groups.
Most recently, Michelle served as VP, Global Campus, Diversity and Corporate/Business Function Recruiting. In that role, Michelle developed a U.S. diversity recruitment strategy and led the creation of a formal process for ensuring diverse slates for all roles. She also built a global framework for our campus-recruiting efforts and led the creation of our virtual summer internship program. Before that, Michelle worked on Culture, Diversity and Inclusion efforts.
Michelle first joined Amex in 2003, serving as a Human Resources Business Partner and in a variety of business-focused marketing roles. After a stint at JPMorgan Chase where she was Head of Chase Campus Pipeline Development and Head of the JPMC Black Scholars Strategy, she rejoined Amex in 2021
