Student, University of Massachusetts - Amherst
I am from Seoul, South Korea, and currently a first-year MS student in computer science at University of Massachusetts Amherst. My research interests lie in the intersection of machine learning and natural language processing in healthcare fields. Also, I am passionate about the applications of AI and machine learning to broader areas.
Before joining UMass Amherst, I completed my undergraduate degree at The College of Wooster, majoring in computer science and mathematics. For my undergraduate thesis, I worked with Dr. Sofia Visa and Dr. Marian Frazier to leverage machine learning and statistics to analyze determinants of depressive disorders among U.S. adults. After completing my MS degree, I plan to continue my education as a Ph.D. student in computer science, with a research focus on natural language processing and other AI tasks.
