Jessica Cotrina Revilla is a systems engineering student at the Universidad Privada del Norte. She is the founder of the project Techmin, a non-profit that informs people in her hometown in Cajamarca, Peru about safe mining practices. At Techmin, she creates video games to inform the youth about these safe practices. The aim is to inform the youth about responsible mining and how important it is for the region in Peru.
“Using technology and being able to create something that will help people is very comforting. Despite the limitations that exist, I don’t take no for an answer. I am looking for solutions.”
