#GHC18 is almost here, and we can’t wait to hear from our Wednesday and Friday main-stage speakers! We also have some very exciting news to share about our Friday Keynote. We at AnitaB.org know there are plenty of amazing women entrepreneurs on the rise, and we want to celebrate and showcase their work. That is why we are inviting the winners of our brand new AnitaB.org PitcHER™ competition to join us on the main stage.
AnitaB.org PitcHER aims to support, encourage, and provide new funding opportunities to women entrepreneurs. This contest supports entrepreneurs from all industries who are leading early stage technology startups, with the goal of empowering women and/or families and children.
“Entrepreneurs have the power to fundamentally change our way of life through innovation and disruption,” said Brenda Darden Wilkerson, President and CEO of AnitaB.org. “This competition will support women founders as they make an impact on their communities, and bring attention to funding disparities for female-founded startups. We hope this new event will inspire other women technologists to pursue their entrepreneurial passions.”
At this year’s Grace Hopper Celebration (GHC 18), 10 finalists will compete onstage on September 27. They will be judged not only on the quality of their business models but also on the level of social impact their innovations will have on society. The finalists will compete for a total of $65,000 in prize money, to be split among the top three finalists and an Audience Favorite.
You will be able to meet the winners of the inaugural AnitaB.org PitcHER competition at the Friday Keynote. Learn more about the contest here.
