Silvia Lovato is a children’s interactive media producer turned researcher. As Sr. Director of Research and Evaluation, PBS KIDS Learning Technologies, Silvia oversees formative research around new games and videos as well as measurement of educational impact of PBS KIDS media using game data analytics. Previously, she worked at PBS KIDS from 2000 to 2014 as a content manager and senior product director for PBS KIDS Digital, collaborating with the producers of a wide range of PBS KIDS programs on the creation of award-winning games and other content. Silvia holds a Ph.D. in Media, Technology and Society from Northwestern University, where she focused on children using voice input technology to seek information. She received an M.A. in Communication, Culture and Technology from Georgetown University.
