Design Strategist, Capital One
Joanna has spent the last 8 years researching and building products focused on improving the financial health of Americans at Capital One and Visa Innovation Labs. In the past, she has led strategy for CreditWise and led design for Capital One’s Financial Well-being team – building tools that help customers weather financial shocks, track their spend, and pay down debt. More recently, Joanna worked on the launch of Capital One’s SpringFour partnership, helping over 800k customers access crucial local organization and government assistance during times of financial hardship. After experiencing a trauma in 2018 and seeing similar attacks still happening to women and those in the Asian American community, Joanna hopes to leverage the lessons learned in her own recovery to design products more thoughtfully and for the most vulnerable.
