Asia Slaughter

Asia Slaughter is a junior at Harris-Stowe State University. She works in the media lab at her university, where she helps other students with photography, Pro Tools, Lightroom 7, and iMovie. She also is an elementary school tutor and helps students with their organizational skills. Asia is the youngest of six children and will be the first in her family to graduate from college.

“Some advice I would give my former self is to not think that you are, but know that you are, know that you can, and know that you will. I would tell myself that you will struggle and things will get hard but understand that that is just a part of life and will help you grow. The thing I would tell myself above all is to love yourself, trust yourself, and believe in yourself and know that anything is possible. You just have to believe so and set realistic goals.”
