Courtney Thurston is a sixteen year old high school student studying at Commonwealth Connections Academy. Courtney co-founded a start-up company called Magikstra, a social networking website that connects high school students with tech mentors. She also sits on the student planning committee of the International Women’s Hackathon, and is on the executive teams of The Scientista Foundation and ProjectCSGIRLS.
“My life is computing and technology. When I’m working on a computer science, robotics, or engineering project, I feel happier—more alive—than anytime else. I feel like I’m contributing to something significant; like I’m building a vibrant future for myself and others.”
