Mike Wisler

Mike Wisler is Managing Vice President of Technology for Capital One Financial Corporation, a diversified bank with more than 65 million customer accounts worldwide and more than 900 branch locations in New York, New Jersey, Texas, Louisiana, Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. Capital One’s subsidiaries offer a broad spectrum of financial products and services to consumers, small businesses and commercial clients through a variety of channels.

Since joining Capital One in 2000, Mike has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility and currently leads a team of more than 1,000 technologists across multiple locations and is accountable for the technology enabling Capital One’s North American credit card businesses.

Prior to his current role, Mike was Capital One’s European Divisional CIO in addition to being accountable for several operations units and Europe’s third-party management function.

Mike is a dedicated advocate for women in the workplace and is leading Men as Allies, Capital One’s Women in Technology initiative aimed at building a fully inclusive culture through awareness, education and advocacy. He also serves on AnitaB.org’s Gender Partnership Council.

An active community member, Mike supports several Virginia charities focusing on food insecurity, education and revitalization of disadvantaged communities. In his personal time, Mike is an avid runner and mountaineer with several marathons and three of the “Seven Summits of the World” off his bucket list: Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, McKinley in Alaska, and Aconcagua in Argentina.

Mike holds a B.S. in Environmental & Hazardous Materials Management from The University of Findlay and an M.S. in Management of Information Technology from The University of Virginia.In 2014, Mike was named one of Computerworld Magazine’s “Premier 100 IT Leaders.”
