#GHC17 Heads to Orlando: Badge Pick-up

With less than a week to go, you’re already planning your time at the celebration: Attending this session, going to the Career Fair at this time, mingling at this social… It’s going to be three jam-packed days full of inspiring talks and action-oriented lessons. You’ve got your to-do list covered, but you might be wondering what to do when you first get there.

We have a suggestion: Pick up your badge and attend the First Timers Orientation on Tuesday evening! By picking up your badge on Tuesday, you’ll skip the long Wednesday morning lines and get to the keynote on time. Do you really want to miss a single word that Melinda Gates and Fei-Fei Li have to share with us?

You can pick up your badge at Registration desks located on the first floor of the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) and in the lobbies of the Hyatt Regency, Rosen Centre, and Rosen Plaza hotels.

You will need to show photo identification. Students and Academic Registrants will also need to provide a valid ID from their university. Unlike previous years, you will not be to pick up badges for other individuals, as every person must show their ID to verify their identity. We can’t check it if the person isn’t there!

You must wear your badge at all times while attending GHC events. It is the only way you can gain access to the Expo, breakout sessions, socials, keynotes and the Friday Night Celebration. We will also scan your badge at each session you attend to helps us gauge interest and make GHC even better in the future.

For you own safety, we encourage you to remove your badge when you leave the official venues to visit the nearby shopping center or to leave the area altogether. We provide perimeter security for the venues, but there are times you may choose to wander around the area. Removing your badge may decrease your chances of being a target.
