The 2018 Grace Hopper Celebration is just around the corner, and we couldn’t be more excited! This year’s celebration — held September 26-28 in Houston, Texas — will bring together 20,000 women from around the globe to network, learn, and hear from some amazing speakers. We hope you’ll join us in kicking off #GHC18 at the Wednesday Keynote, where we’ll hear from our two main-stage speakers: Padmasree Warrior and Jessica O. Matthews.
Padmasree Warrior is the CEO & Chief Development Officer of NIO U.S., and is responsible for the brains of NIO’s autonomous, electric vehicles. She is also in charge of the overall user experience. She previously worked at Motorola — which received the 2004 U.S. National Medal of Technology under her leadership — as well as Cisco. Padmasree has received numerous awards for her outstanding work and leadership, including the World of Difference Award from the International Alliance for Women, and the first Leadership in Science and Technology Award from the Aspen Institute.
Jessica O. Matthews is the Founder & CEO of Uncharted Power, an award-winning renewable energy company that harnesses energy from motion to create entire ecosystems of power for communities around the world. Jessica founded Uncharted Power at age 22, just four years after creating her first invention: SOCCKET, an energy generating soccer ball. In 2012, she was invited to the White House by President Barack Obama to represent small companies for the signing of the America Invents Act. In 2016, her Series A offering broke the record for funding by a black female founder.
We can’t wait to hear from these two incredible women and learn how they are changing the face of technology.
Stay tuned to find out who will be on the main stage for the Friday Keynote!
