Software Engineer, Bloomberg
Paavini is a back-end software engineer with Bloomberg’s Multi Asset Risk Systems (MARS) Pricing Platform team, which she joined in 2019. As the Director of Technology of the Computer Society of India — NSUT Chapter, she helped women to dive into competitive coding by organizing coding workshops on topics ranging from beginner to advanced. She was the founding member of her university’s Open Development initiative, which organizes programs and workshops to help women increase their contributions to Open Source. She has delivered many presentations, including “How to Make Open Source More Inclusive for Women and Students” at the 2019 Open Source Summit in Lyon. She was selected as a student scholar for Grace Hopper Celebration 2018, where she participated in the Open Source Day. She has organized an imposter syndrome workshop in March 2021 for around 100 university students. She graduated from the University of Delhi with a degree in computer engineering.
