Patricia A. McDonald

Patricia  is vice president of Human Resources and director of the Intel Talent Organization at Intel Corporation. She leads a global organization aiming to make Intel’s diverse talent a major strategic advantage.

Since joining Intel in 1986, Patricia has held a wide range of engineering, manufacturing and management positions, including plant manager of Fab 20. As director of the ATMx organization, she led a mission-based team that collaborated with ATM factory partners to achieve new levels of affordability, efficiency and profitability. As director of the Product Health Enhancement Organization, she created a global organization that delivered breakthrough systems and results in product quality, cost and time-to-market. During her time in manufacturing, she was recognized with an Intel Quality Award for P860 Virtual Factory efforts.

Patricia also pioneered Intel’s Healthcare Marketplace Collaborative, an alliance of Portland, Ore. health care providers, a health plan and the Virginia Mason Institute. The collaborative works to improve access, increase quality and reduce the cost of healthcare for Intel employees and their families.

Long a champion of diversity at Intel, Patricia is Intel’s executive sponsor for the Women at Intel Network (WIN). With 33 chapters worldwide, WIN is Intel’s largest opt-in employee group.

Her commitments to collaboration, leadership and diversity have made Patricia a visible public speaker at industry conferences, universities, hospitals, and across Intel, and she has been in media such as USA Today, AP, Bloomberg, and featured as “The Big Idea” in Harvard Business Review Magazine.

Patricia earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Oregon State University. She lives in Oregon with her husband and son.
