With GHC 2016 just a few months away, we’re excited to unveil the visual theme for this year’s conference. Artist Dan Sipple designed this playful artwork to reflect the aspirational nature of GHC and all the diverse perspectives this one-of-a-kind conference brings together.
For more than 15 years, GHC has connected tens of thousands of women from all over the world, and the conference has grown exponentially in recent years, with 12,000 attendees at GHC 2015. This year, we expect to host 15,000 attendees in Houston.
This year’s visual theme captures our goal of fostering a diverse, inclusive environment as GHC grows to reach even more women technologists from all over the world. Our whimsical visual theme features a hot air balloon transporting technologists from all backgrounds toward a future in which the many diverse voices championed at GHC 2016 are not only heard, but welcomed and celebrated. The circuit board pattern represents all the ways women in technology connect with each other and their allies, even when they’re miles apart.
We’re delighted to share this year’s visual theme for GHC 2016, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it. And we hope you’ll join us at GHC 2016 to soar into a future where the people who imagine and build technology mirror the people and societies they build it for. See you in Houston!
