GHC Registration Reaches Waitlist in Record Time

As of June 15, 2015, all registration for GHC 2015 is available with a registration code or through a waitlist only. While we cannot guarantee registration for those on the waitlist, we encourage you to sign up as soon as possible.

We are inspired by the extremely high demand for participation in the 2015 Grace Hopper Celebration. Due to an overwhelming response this year, we have reached waitlist capacity in record time. We are encouraged in our efforts by the rapidly growing awareness about, and commitment to, women in computing and the issues they face on their paths.

While we wish we could accommodate every individual who wants to attend GHC, our primary objective is to ensure that our attendees have the highest quality experience possible. In the past 3 years we have experienced a profound increase in interest in the conference. In 2013, 4,500 people attended GHC. In 2014 we nearly doubled the capacity to 8,000. This year we increased the capacity by 50 percent to 12,000! Due to safety, facility and logistical considerations, and in order to maintain the consistently high quality of our programming, we cannot expand the capacity any further this year.

In the next few weeks, we will be coming up with ways to bring the spirit of GHC to those who cannot attend in person. (Any bright ideas? Connect with us on social media!) We will also be livestreaming key sessions at GHC, so stay tuned for updates. For now, we hope you will join us in celebrating this major milestone! It is truly amazing to witness the growing passion of our community.
