GHC 18 Highlights

We know it’s difficult to choose from the amazing speakers and sessions planned for the 2018 Grace Hopper Celebration (GHC 18). Here are some recommendations for things you won’t want to miss. You can also pre-register for certain sessions. Learn how to pre-register here!

Wednesday and Friday Keynote Sessions

GHC 18 kicks off on Wednesday at 9 a.m. with a Keynote Session featuring Padmasree Warrior and Jessica O. Matthews at the Toyota Center. On Friday, Dr. Justine Cassell and the winners of the inaugural AnitaB.org PitcHER™ competition  will close out the Celebration at the 3 p.m. Keynote Session.

Abie Awards

The Abie Awards celebrate the success of women technologists and those who support women in tech. Our 2018 award winners – Dr. Rebecca ParsonsChiara AmisolaHolly LiuDr. Debbie G. Senesky, and Mariana Costa Checa – will speak during the Keynote Sessions. You can also meet past and present winners at Speakers Corner in the AnitaB.org Booth (#7032) at noon each day!

AnitaB.org PitcHER™ Competition

Ten finalists from the inaugural AnitaB.org PitcHER competition will compete for a total of $65,000 in prize money, split among the top three finalists and an Audience Favorite.

GHC Expo & Technology Showcase Theater

Mentoring Circles

This interactive mentoring session will offer great tips on job searching, interviewing, and furthering your career. Join any time on Wednesday between 11:30 a.m and 1:30 p.m. See the topics here.

Speed Mentoring

The Anita|Bees Speed Mentoring session takes place on Wednesday, 3 – 5:30 p.m. During several 15-minute rounds, attendees will be advised by mentors in their fields and/or at their career levels.

Community Socials

Network with other women in tech and learn more about our Community. We’ll have Community Socials for Systers, Systers Affinity Groups, and our online AnitaB.org Community.

Gallery: Our Time

Located in the Expo Hall, our GHC 18 Gallery is the place to be inspired by stories of women technologists from the past and present, with a chance to share your personal „coming-up“ story.

Evening Celebration

What is GHC without a party? Bring your badge, ID, and raffle ticket, and join us on Friday at 7 p.m. for a night of food, games, and dancing to close out another great year!
