The youngest of 13 children from a farm in rural Oklahoma, Anita Hill received her J.D. from Yale Law School in 1980. She began her career in private practice in Washington, D.C. Before becoming a law professor, she worked at the U. S. Education Department and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. In 1989, Hill became the first African American to be tenured at the University of Oklahoma, College of Law, where she taught contracts and commercial law. Deputy Assistant to the President & Deputy National Security Advisor for Cyber & Emerging Technologies

Ms. Neuberger is the Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor for Cyber and Emerging Technologies on the White House’s National Security Council. Previously, she served as the National Security Agency’s (NSA) Director of Cybersecurity, where she led NSA’s cybersecurity mission, including emerging technology areas like quantum-resistant cryptography. Prior to this role, Ms. Neuberger co-led NSA and USCC’s election security effort and led NSA’s intelligence operations, leading an organization of over 20,000 people globally, driving major change initiatives across technology and operations. She also served as NSA’s first Chief Risk Officer building NSA’s enterprise risk management program, Director of NSA’s Commercial Solutions Center, the Department of the Navy’s Deputy Chief Management Officer and a White House Fellow. In 2020, Ms. Neuberger was awarded DoD’s and NSA’s highest civilian awards, the DoD Distinguished Civilian Service Award, and NSA’s Distinguished Service Medal. In 2017, Ms. Neuberger was awarded a Presidential Rank Award. Before her Government service, Ms. Neuberger was Senior Vice President of Operations at American Stock Transfer and Trust Company, where she directed technology and operations. Ms. Neuberger is a graduate of Columbia University, where she earned an MBA and Masters of International Affairs.

Born in Iowa City, Iowa, Frances is the daughter of two professors and grew up attending the Iowa caucuses with her parents, instilling a strong sense of pride in democracy and responsibility for civic participation. Frances holds a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Olin College and an MBA from Harvard. She is a specialist in algorithmic product management, having worked on ranking algorithms at Google, Pinterest, Yelp and Facebook. She was recruited to Facebook to be the lead Product Manager on the Civic Misinformation team, which dealt with issues related to democracy and misinformation, and later also worked on counter-espionage. During her time at Facebook, Frances became increasingly alarmed by the choices the company makes prioritizing their own profits over public safety and putting people's lives at risk. As a last resort and at great personal risk, Frances made the courageous decision to blow the whistle on Facebook. Frances fundamentally believes that the problems we are facing today with social media are solvable. We can have social media that brings out the best in humanity.
