Courtney Locke is from Paramus, New Jersey and is studying software engineering at Monmouth University. She is a coordinator for the school of science peer mentor program, manages the University Division II Club Ice Hockey Team, and works on campus as a lab assistant for the information technology department. This past summer, Courtney interned as an associate programmer for Wakefern Food Corporation.
“I used to call myself a ‘professional tinkerer’. I always had a knack for fixing any broken piece of technology I found, and eventually in my freshman year of high school, I tinkered enough to build my own computer from the ground up. My peers may have thought what I was doing was strange, but I was too interested to care.”
