GHC ID & Academic Verification

ID Verification Required for All Attendees

To promote a seamless and secure experience, Grace Hopper Celebration utilizes an ID verification process. Verification may be required and acceptable documentation must be available if requested.

Academic Verification

Virtual

Academic eligibility requirements will be communicated through the website, registration process, and attendee communications. Ticket purchasers should ensure they have acceptable documentation available in the event verification is requested.

In-Person

Academic ticket holders attending in person may be asked to present proof of current academic affiliation when picking up their badge onsite. If acceptable documentation cannot be provided, attendees may be required to upgrade to a General Admission ticket in order to receive event credentials.

Please bring documentation confirming your current academic status if you have registered with an Academic ticket.

Accepted Documents

Student ID

Full name – The name you register for GHC with must match the name on your document
Expiration date – Must be within the next four years

Official Acceptance Letter

Full name – The name you register for GHC with must match the name on your document
Semester – The first semester must be in 2026

Enrollment Letter or Certificate

Full name – The name you register for GHC with must match the name on your document
Semester – The semester you are currently enrolled

Transcript or Student Record

Full name – The name you register for GHC with must match the name on your document
School name – Name of the college or university
Semester – The semester you are currently enrolled

Form I-20

Full name – The name you register for GHC with must match the name on your document
School name – Name of the college or university
Program of study or start/end date – When your program begins and ends * School attestation – Signature from the school
Student attestation – Signature from you, the student F-1 Student Visa
Full name – The name you register for GHC with must match the name on your document.
School information – Information about your college or university
Issued date – The date your student visa was issued
Expiration date – The date your student visa expires
