Yasmin AlNoamany is from Egypt and received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in computer science at Mansoura University. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in computer science, with a focus on digital libraries and web science, at Old Dominion University. She has written several publications specifically related to web archiving, and interned at the Internet Archive in San Francisco as a software engineer in 2012. She attended GHC 2013, where she blogged about the impact the event had on her research path (http://ws-dl.blogspot.com/2013/10/2013-10-15-grace-hopper-celebration-of.html), and is excited to attend for a second year in a row!

“Grace Hopper not only gave me inspiration—happily it allowed me to meet many old friends and new amazing friends. It also allowed me to discuss my research idea with many senior women and get positive feedback about it.”
