GHC 23 Hoppers
Become a part of GHC 23 and support the celebration as a hopper with AnitaB.org. Our hoppers assist the speakers, sessions, and attendees virtually or in-person in various roles such as attendee greeters, speaker greeters, timekeepers, level up lab support, and more. Who Should Apply
We aim to have GHC volunteers that represent the talent and rich diversity of our community. We welcome volunteers of all levels and backgrounds. Volunteers may be students, interns, early-, mid-, or senior-career, or entrepreneurs/founders.
We encourage members of historically excluded groups to participate.
Requirements
- AnitaB.org volunteers must be at least 18 years old by September 26, 2023
- Be able to attend one (1) virtual meeting before GHC 23
- In-Person Hoppers Only: Be able to attend Hopper Orientation on September 26, 2023
- All Hoppers: Be available for assignments between
- 10:30 a.m. ET and 5:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday, September 27
- 8:45 a.m. ET and 5:15 p.m. ET on Thursday, September 28
- 8:45 a.m. ET and 4:15 p.m. ET on Friday, September 29
- Be able to dedicate at least 8, non-consecutive hours to volunteer assignments.
Tentative Timeline
- May 1, 2023: Application Opens
- July 7, 2023: Application Closes
- Week of July 17, 2023: Application status sent.
- September (Exact day and time TBD): Virtual Hopper Training for all in-person and virtual Hoppers
- September 26, 2023: In-Person Hopper Orientation
- September 27-29: Hopper Assignments
